CB Unicorn is back

Regarded as one of the most graceful bikes in the Nepali market, Honda CB Unicorn now comes with a 160 cc engine. After garnering a huge success with its preceding model — CB Unicorn 150, Syakar Trading Company (STC), authorised distributor of Honda recently introduced the new version of the bike  in the domestic market. The new model of the bike inherits a sportier skin and a more powerful engine.

“Since Honda CB Unicorn is already a popular bike in the domestic market, we are confident about the success of this model too,” said Suraj Shrestha, Media Coordinator at STC. Citing that the preliminary sales record of the bike is impressive, he said, “We aim to sell over 1,000 units of the bike on a monthly basis.” He added that the bike is superior to its preceding model in terms of both performance and looks. According to him, the introductory price of the bike is tagged at Rs 237,000.

Under the chassis of the two-wheeler is a new single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke SI engine, which has a displacement capacity of 162.71cc. The engine is able to produce a peak power of 14.5bhp at 8000rpm and a commanding torque of 14.61Nm at 6000rpm. It can help you to notch up a peak speed of 106 kmph. This is an advanced mid-sized engine, which comes equipped with Honda Eco Technology.

The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission system, which can follow a gearshift pattern of one down and rest up. The bike has a solid engine performance on any kind of terrain, whether on the city roads or on the expressways.  The two-wheeler delivers an impressive mileage of 62 kmpl on various types of terrains.

The steering system of the motorcycle allows sharp and fast turns. Whether you want to make a giant sweeping curve or get easily through corners, you will be able to do it very easily. The two-wheeler has a decent handling and you will be able to safely steer your bike on any kind of road, whether on the highways or in the city traffic.

The bike gets few new elements that give it a refreshing look. The front fascia gets bike fairing, while the instrument cluster is borrowed from its sibling. Other than these, the bike gets new side panels, tank shrouds, fully covered chains, and newly designed fuel tank. The engine and other sections of the bike get black theme, while the taillight with LEDs gets X-shaped design.

The braking system comprises of Disc and Drum brakes at front and rear, respectively.

The Honda CB Unicorn 160 comes in three body color options — Geny Gray Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.
