Designers revealed

Every year The Himalayan Times Nepal Fashion Week brings together experienced and budding designers to showcase their finest creations. This year is no different. The designers for the biggest fashion extravaganza — Ruslan The Himalayan Times TGIF Nepal Fashion Week has been finalised; a total of 30 designers will be showcasing their innovative Spring/Summer 2017 collections during the Fashion Week.

On March 3, a Designers Meet was conducted by The Himalayan Times and IEC College of Fashion. All participating designers — professionals and students — came in for an interaction session at IEC College of Art and Design, Mandikatar. "The designers seem to bring a lot of new and innovative designs to the plate. Their collections are of international standard," shared Sijan Bhattachan, the official choreographer at of the Fashion Week.

On the list of designers, there is a selected group of 10 student designers from IEC School and College of Art and Fashion (six from IEC School and four from IEC College). "This is a great opportunity for emerging talents as they will share the stage with well-known designers," shared Deepak Sharma, Designer Lecturer and Mentor for student designers at IEC College of Art and Fashion. He added that this year the audience can expect high fashion designs that are wearable in our daily lives.

The Ruslan The Himalayan Times TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2017 is scheduled from April 5 to 8.
