What is your favourite vacation destination abroad?

I love going to beaches for holidays. The Mediterranean, Caribbean Islands, Bali, and Phuket have been the most favoured destinations so far.

Your fantasy travel itinerary... Kaho’ olawe, Hawaii is on the wish list. I have not been to New Zealand and definitely plan to do so in the future.

Favourite getaway destination in Nepal... Pokhara is the all time favourite. It epitomises the beauty of Nepal with its lakes, Himalayan range and abundance of activities to keep everyone entertained.

Wheels

Favourite wheels... I drive a Honda CRV four-wheel drive and a vintage Mercedez Benz. The Honda with its all terrain feature is most suitable for Nepal and is a sturdy and reliable vehicle while the vintage Mercedez is most comfortable, elegant and a pleasure to drive.

A four wheeler on your wish list... I have my eye on the Range Rover Evoque, which is the right sized SUV and the design is excellent.

A favoured destination for a road trip on your wheels?

I would do a road trip to the Upper Mustang region.

Books

Your favourite book and why?

My all time favorite has been Freedom at Midnight by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins. I was a teenager when I read it and at that impressionable age it was an incredible insight written very romantically.

Who is your favourite writer?

I tend to read biographies, autobiographies and technical books. I never miss anything Malcolm Gladwell writes.

Favourite quote from any book you’ve read.. Albert Einstein’s, 'No problem can be solved from the same level of conscience that created it.'

Food

Your favourite cuisine and why?

I like our very own Dal Bhat, Tarkari and Bhuteko Masu, and Momo. Also, Japanese and Italian are epicurean delights for me.

One dish you can eat forever... I have more than one! Momos, Sashimi and sea food pasta.

A dish that you love preparing... Before I was married (12 years ago), I used to delve in continental cooking, but since my wife is an excellent cook, I see no point making any further attempt. However, once in awhile I do fire up the barbeque grill
