KATHMANDU: Hyundai Motor Group expects to reach a sales mark of 100 million units by this April. Hyundai Motor Company sold 64,020,000 units and Kia Motors Corporation sold 35,680,000 units,

in total 99,700,000 units on March. This milestone is about to be achieved after 54 years since Kia

Motors Corporation sold its first car in 1962. The two automakers surpassed the 10 million unit mark in 1993. Since then, Hyundai Motor Group reached cumulative sales of 50 million units in 2008 and 90 million units in 2014. Hyundai Elantra, which was launched in 1990, has the highest sales record with 11,190,000 units, followed by Accent with 8,240,000 units and Sonata with 7,830,000 units.
