Imagination comes alive

Kathmandu

Young and upcoming designers took over the stage with their imaginative collections on the second day of the Blenders Pride -TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2016. Their outfits flaunted creative and fresh elements, and there wasn’t a single collection that was not worth mentioning. Every single outfit from the 10 sequences had their own story to tell. It was as if the imagination of all the 21 designers came alive on the ramp.

The show started with ‘Nyatapol’ — a collection created by Roshan Bhattarai, Meena Pokharel and Sajana Acharya. The designs were an infusion of Nepal’s rich cultural heritage and high-end fashion, blending Nepali hand printed fabrics with georgette and velvet.

Next was ‘Sworup’ — a collection of white and multicolour long gowns by Aarati Rajbhandari, Suraksha Regmi and Deepa Thapa Magar. The abstract prints that reflected different facial expressions of women were definitely the most interesting part of the whole collection.
