Technology is one of the important features that today’s buyers think on while purchasing a new vehicle. Infotainment interfaces, connectivity and apps, audio, navigation, and bluetooth are some of the technologies that customer often look for.
HARMAN Infotainment System
Tata Motors vehicles like Zest, Bolt and Safari Storme are equipped with HARMAN’s infotainment system that consists of five-inch Connectnext infotainment, navigation, advanced voice command recognition, entertainment and connectivity. “Tata Motors uses the state-of-the-art HARMAN touch screen multimedia systems that offer superior connectivity features and better entertainment quality,” said Prabin Khatiwada, Head of Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd, authorised distributor of Tata Motors.
The infotainment system has been customised according to the need of the customer. The well designed system is loaded with features like touchscreen control for music, temperature, AC, and voice controlled actions. Advanced voice command recognition helps to control media, radio and climate while driving. Speed sensitive auto volume adjust feature eliminates the ambient noise and gives a new experience while listening to music. Four powerful speakers and four tweeters are some of the added features in the infotainment system. Khatiwada shared, “While enjoying the journey, the all-new smartphone-powered maps, guides people to their destinations safely and accurately. Electric power assisted steering with speed sensitivity and active return function is one of the likable features in Tata cars.”
Smart Play Infotainment System
Suzuki offers state of the art Infotainment systems in its premium segment cars— S-Cross and Baleno. The large TFT screen includes functions like Smartphone compatibility, bluetooth, USB, Aux and Navigation. Suzuki premium cars are equipped with features like Apple CarPlay, Multi information display, steering mounted controls and many more.

Suzuki with Baleno is the first car to offer Apple CarPlay in Nepal. Apple CarPlay offers the best in class experience for iPhone users and lets the driver control all the multimedia functions via voice commands. It helps users to get directions, make calls, send and receive messages, listen to music and audio books through this remarkable user interface.
The stylish TFT multi display screen tracks and displays multiple information like engine output and average mileage consumption. The CarPlay system also offers voice-based instructions via a dedicated steering-mounted button. While Apple CarPlay is designed with iPhone users in mind, the system will also work with other smartphone platforms like Android and Windows.
Ford is known to be one of the pioneers in technology and has always been in a constant mode of innovation. Ford’s built-in infotainment system ‘SYNC’ can be found in cars like New Figo, Aspore, Eco-Sport, Endeavour, et cetera. Niranjan Regmi, Sales Manager, Go automobiles, authorised distributor of Ford, said, “Infotainment systems are increasingly becoming an integral part of modern cars. Ford’s car comes with the Ford Sync infotainment system, which was developed with Microsoft. The service allows users to pair smartphone with the car via bluetooth, and access key features like contacts, calls and messages through voice controls.” The system works with both iOS and Android smartphones also.
Steering mounted audio control system, navigation, automatic AC, music system with bluetooth and perimeter alarm are some of the likable features of Ford cars. Steering mounted audio control system helps user to easily accept and reject calls without getting distracted while driving. Through voice commands one can listen to music on USB, disk and even FM radio. Temperature can also be set using the voice command app. In-built perimeter alarm determines if any other vehicle is in the vicinity and warns the driver accordingly.
