Nepalaya launches Tirtha Shrestha's 'Dharsaidharsa Ko Chakrabeu'
KATHMANDU: Poet Tirtha Shrestha's collection of poems 'Dharsaidharsa Ko Chakrabeu' has been launched amid a special programme at Paleti 'r' sala in Kathmandu, on Friday.
The book launching event was unique as it was a fusion of both music and literature. During the concert, as many as six songs written by the author were performed for the audience.
The programme kicked-off with the song 'Merai Himal Jasto Herirahu Pokhara' relating to the author's birthplace which was composed by late Som Bajracharya, a close friend of poet Shrestha.
During the event, Shrestha's famous poem 'Naam' was read out before the author himself took the centre stage and recited his poems --Lahure Ful Ma Timro Naam Ferna Chanchu' and Baag and the audience appreciated with a big round of applause.
The author announced the launching of the book by handing over the book to senior artist Durga Baral 'Bastiyan' on the stage. "I had the privilege to handover my book to national poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire it was the first launching of the book." Shrestha shared.
"Moments of unveiling my book are memorable events of my life." The book contains 108 poems and describes love, society and nature.
The book is priced at Rs 345, according to Nepalaya, the book publication house.
