MAW Enterprises, authorised distributor of Skoda in Nepal, revealed plans to launch the New Skoda Rapid.  The company is expected to introduce the premium sedan by the first week of February.

“Skoda has been the most reputed car in Europe, and is well known for class and safety arrangements. As soon as the New Skoda Rapid was launched in India, there was a demand from our customers here,” said Suraj Manandhar, Chief General Manager at Skoda, MAW. “The price of this premium sedan is definitely attractive,” he said, adding that the price of the New Skoda Rapid starts from Rs 34, 95,000.  Claiming it is a market leader in the segment, Manandhar said, “In 2072 -2073 we were able to achieve market share of 17 per cent. And this year if the sedan segment size remains the same then, we estimate that our market share will go up to 24 per cent. In numbers, we expected that we will be able to sell more than 150 cars of this model in next five months.”

The New Skoda offers a modern crystalline appearance.  The new interiors are equally captivating. The car comes with contrasting dual-tone ebony-sand interiors, featuring premium perforated leatherette seats. The Rapid comes with revolutionary climatronic technology along with adjustable dual rear AC vents thus making the car your utopia of comfort. It also offers an intelligent rain sensing wiper system; the technology intuitively activates itself on detecting rain and adjusts the wiper’s frequency.

The New Skoda Rapid comes with two engine variants: a New 1.5L TDI diesel engine and the 1.6L MPI petrol engine. Furthermore it does not compromise on the safety features with dual airbags and ABS. Safety is enhanced with state-of-the-art technologies like Electronic Stability Control and Hill Hold Control. A host of supporting functions include parktonic rear parking sensors, automatically dimming rear view mirror and One Touch Anti Pinch technology for windows.
