Shivaprasad Khatiwada's book 'Sampada' published
KATHMANDU: Shabdartha Publication House today released Shivaprasad Jaisi Khatiwada's maiden poetic literature 'Sampada' in Kathmandu, on Saturday.
Minister for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai unveiled the book amid an event at Multipurpose Hall of Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) in Ravibhawan, this afternoon.
On the occasion, Minister Bhattarai congratulated the author for reflecting the current social issues, especially of far-western region, issues related to natural resources and rich cultural heritages through his collection of 52 poetic literature.
In the book, the author who is a native of Achham district in Karnali province has also raised the issues of social injustice, unemployment, women empowerment, border encroachment and economic backwardness of the region.
"Although the nation has gone through many revolutions and changes, people living in far flung areas are yet to feel the changes in their lives," the author expresses his dissatisfaction with the government.
He also urged the concerned authorities to make field visits to understand the ground reality of the region before formulating development projects instead of holding seminars of Karnali development in Kathmandu.
The author thanked pioneer laureates Binaya Sharma Nepal and Narnath Luitel for their continuous support and encouragement in publishing this book.
According to the publication, the book is available at all the book stores across Nepal and is priced at Rs 225.
