Two-wheeler dealers geared up for New Year
With the Nepali New Year approaching, domestic two-wheeler dealers are geared up to make the most of this festive opportunity and are coming up with special offers. Since this year was a major challenge for the industry, two-wheeler dealers are hopeful about the upcoming year and have pinned high hopes on festive selling around the New Year.
Most two-wheeler brands have come up with cash discount offers while some are yet to introduce their schemes. “We are offering a cash discount of Rs 7,000 on the purchase of any Bajaj motorcycle from any showroom across the country,” said Poonam Singh, Head of Marketing at HH Bajaj, autho-rised distributor of Bajaj Motorcycle. She believes that there is usually a tremendous increase in sales around New Year. “Our customers have some expectations from us during these special occasions and so we have come up these special offers,” she added.
Nirmal Shrestha, Marketing Manager at MAW Enterprises, autho-rised distributor of Yamaha, said, “Keeping in mind the New Year we have come up with our scheme called ‘Subha Aarambha’. We are offering cash discounts of Rs 7,300 on every purchase from any of our outlets.” He further added that there is an opportunity for customers to also win the weekly prize of Rs 73,000 through a lucky draw. “We are optimistic about the sales of Yamaha two-wheelers for both motorbike and scooter variants as customers can take advantage of the offer,” he said, adding that Fascino is doing well in the market and therefore they hope the offer will increase its sales.
“We are offering cash discounts of Rs 8,000 in every purchase of Jupiter, Wego, Zest, Apache, Phoenix and Star City,” said Nabindra Raj Sharma, Product Manager at Jagadamba Motors, authorised distributor of TVS. He informed that on
the occasion of New Year they are also launching the Apache RTR200 probably by the end of May. According to him,
TVS has also an exchange offer from March 23 and customer can bring any of their old motorbikes or scooter and exchange them for TVS vehicle.

Bajaj : Cash discount of Rs 7,000 on the purchase of any Bajaj bikes.
Yamaha: Cash discount of Rs 7,300 on the purchase of any Yamaha two-wheeler and chance to win the weekly prize of Rs 73,000 through lucky draw.
TVS: Cash discount of Rs 8,000 and customer can exchange the old two-wheeler with new TVS.
Suzuki: Cash discount of Rs 8,000 up to Rs 207,300 in every purchase of motorbike and scooter.
Hero: Cash discount of Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 in every purchase of motorbike and scooter.
Honda: Cash prize starting from Rs 4,000 to Rs 100,000 via SMS including 16 extra servicing worth Rs 5,600 and 10 per cent discount on spare parts for five years.
