Bullfighting festival in Taruka

Taruka village of Nuwakot hosts bullfighting festival every year on the day of Maghe Sankranti. It is believed that the tradition started in the 19th century.

Balkrishna Thapa of The Himalayan Times caught the moments of the festival, organised at the village, 76 km north of Kathmandu Valley, with his lens.
