KATHMANDU: Dr Govinda KC has been taken to the Nepal Army barrack in Jumla from where he will be airlifted to Kathmandu today.

A few rounds of tear-gas shells were fired in order to dismiss the local people who had gathered to obstruct the security personnel from taking Dr KC to the barracks.

The doctor had agreed to come to the capital after the protests turned violent injuring scores of people.
