URLABARI, MORANG: A person died and another sustained critical injuries after a motorcycle they were riding on, ran out of control in Belbari Municipality-11 of Morang district along the East-West Highway this morning.

The deceased has been identified as a pillion rider Ashok Rai (39) of Triyuga Municipality-3 in Udayapur district and the injured as motorcyclist Sanam Tamang (19) of Pathari Shanischare Municipality-1 in Morang district

The incident took place when the motorcycle (Ko 21 Pa 4210) heading in a westward direction skidded on the road killing the pillion rider today, according to the Area Police Office(APO), Belbari.

Rai breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences at 3:30 am today. Injured Tamang has been receiving treatment in the same hospital.

Meanwhile, the two-wheeler has been taken under control, said Police Inspector Ramji Katuwal at the APO.
