1 dies as tipper plunges into Pokhara river
POKHARA: A person died and another sustained injuries after the tipper they were aboard skidded off the road and plunged down into Bijaypur River in Kaski district, on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as the vehicle driver Tuk Bahadur Chhetry (27) of Raipur, Shuklagandaki Municipality-1 in Tanahun district and the injured as his assistant, Prem Nepali.
The vehicle (Ga 1 Kha 3718) en route to Lekhanath Municipality along the Prithvi Highway had met with accident killing its driver and injuring his assistant, according to police.
Meanwhile, the critically injured Nepali has been undergoing treatment at the Manipal Hospital in Pokhara, said police.
