KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident in Mandavi Rural Municipality-3 of Pyuthan district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Pankaj Thapa (27) of Swargadwari Municipality-1 and injured as local Prithivi Thapa (24), both of the district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Lu 29 Pa 4289) lost its control and fell on the road in Naya Gaun Chakchake at 6:30 pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, motorcyclist Prithivi Thapa have been undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Bijubar, informed police.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
