BHOJPUR: A man died and another sustained critical injuries when two ambulances collided with each other in Bhaluwa Municipality of Duhabi along the Inaruwa-Duhabi road section in Sunsari on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Khoriya Yadav (56) of Dhangadhi VDC-1 of Siraha. Yadav breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Koshi Zonal Hospital, the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar said.

Police said that the accident occurred when the ambulance (Sa 1 Cha 501), heading towards to east from west collided with the other (Sa 1 Cha 873) yesterday.

The injured has been taken to the Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar for treatment. The injured was a patient who was being transported to a hospital while the accident occurred.
