1 killed, 10 injured in assorted road accidents in Dhading

DHADING:  One died and 10 others were injured in two different road accidents occurred in Dhading district.

According to police, a bus driver, who was answering the call of nature, was critically injured after he was hit by another bus at around 11 pm in Andheri khola of Naubise VDC-2 along the Prithivi Highway on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Dilip Upadhyay (45) of Parsa district.

He was driving the bus (Ba 5 Kha 1738) towards Birgunj from Kathmandu.

Upadhyay breathed his last while receiving treatment at the Shahid Memorial Hospital in Kalanki, police informed.

Police have impounded another bus (Na 5 Kha 3103) and arrested its driver Shiva Prasad Gautam of Gokarneshwor Municipality-2 of Kathmandu for investigation.

Meanwhile, a Kathmandu bound microbus (Ba 3 Kha 773) turned turtle at Kamere along the Kalu Pandey Marg, injuring 10 passengers on Tuesday.

Police said that there were 17 persons on board the microbus.

The injured are receiving treatment at the District Hospital.

Police said that the driver is on the run following the incident.
