KATHMANDU: A man died and two others sustained injuries when a bus hit a parked truck near Surahi Khola at Shivaraj Municipality-1 in Kapilvastu district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as the truck driver Ram Narayan Chaudhary (25) of Bhrikuti Municipality-3 in the district.

Hari Bahadur Dhobi and Laxman Pasi of Bangai, Balarampur Municipality-7 in the district were injured in the incident.

According to police, the bus (Na 5 Kha 950) hit the truck (Na 2 Kha 2494) last night.

The injured are being treated at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital in Rupandehi district, informed police.

Police said that they are searching for the bus driver who fled the scene after the incident.
