KATHMANDU: A person died and two others sustained injuries when a motorcycle collided with a bus in Jogimara VDC-1 along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading district on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as the motorcycle rider Purushottam Dallakoti (24) and the injured as the pillion rider Hari Rai (18), both residents of Chaukitar, Jogimara-9 and Dipesh Kumar Yadav (19) of Rautahat district, who was aboard the bus.

The incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 57 Pa 2632) collided head-on with the bus (Na 3 Kha 5622) at Singrangkhola, at around 11:45 pm yesterday, according to police.

The injured were rushed to a hospital in Malekhu, where critically injured Dallakoti breathed his last during treatment. Rai and Yadav are undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, police have impounded both the vehicles and detained the four-wheeler driver for further investigation.
