BHOJPUR: A woman died and three others were injured in separate road accidents in Morang district on Friday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratanagar, Devi Maya Pathak (46) of Urlabari-1 was severely injured after she was hit by a motorcycle (Me 3 Pe 7429) in Urlabari along the East-West Highway on Friday.

Critically injured Pathak breathed her last while receiving treatment at the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital on Saturday morning.

Chandra Bahadur Khadka (53) sustained minor injuries after he was hit by the same motorbike. He is receiving treatment at the Araniko Hospital.

Police said that biker Suraj Rai (19) of Tandi-5 of the district, who was injured in the accident, is also receiving treatment at the Neuro Hospital.

Meanwhile, cyclist Manu Rai (35) of Belabari-2 was also injured after he was hit by a two-wheeler (Ko 20 Pa 6162) in the area.

Police have impounded the motorcycle and arrested the biker for further investigation.
