KATHMANDU: A person died on the spot and three others sustained injuries after the tractor they were travelling on fell below the road in Sunchhahari Rural Municipality-5 of Rolpa district on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as driver Ganesh Budha (32) of Simalwang in Rolpa Municipality-3 and injured as passengers Bikram Sunar (16), Gamesh Sunar (18) both residents of Syaar in Lungri Rural Municipality-5, and Rapa Bahadur Pun Magar (19) of Dhawang in Rolpa Municipality-10 in the district.

The incident occurred when the tractor (Lu 1 Ta 9342) lost its control and plunged around five metres below the road in Kasala at 9:00 pm yesterday, according to Area Police Office, Sulichaur.

The injured were rushed to the Kohalpur-based Medical College where they have been undergoing treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
