KATHMANDU: A girl died on the spot and three others sustained injuries after the tractor she was travelling on met with an accident in Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-4 of Tanahun district on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as 5-year-old Sonimaya Ale of the locality, informed District Police Office (DPO), Tanahun.

According to police, the incident occurred when the tractor (Lu 1 Ta 7294) lost its control and plunged about 10 metres below the road in Aaklang at 9:15 pm yesterday.

The injured were rushed to Chimkeshwari Hospital where they have been undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, Tanahun DPO has detained the tractor driver for further investigation into the case, said police.
