A person died in the spot and six others sustained injuries when a tractor they were travelling on fell off the road at Ricing Rural Municipality-6, Tanahun on Sunday.

Tanahun District Police identified the deceased as Om Maya Rana (35) of Ricing Rural Municipality-5 in the district.

An incident occurred when the tractor (GA 1 TA 5310) was heading to Sapangdi from Ricing before plunging 200 meters down the road.

Meanwhile, the injured passengers have been rushed to Pokhara hospital for treatment,  police said.

After the incident, the tractor driver fled the scene and investigation is underway, Police informed.
