BIRATNAGAR: A youth died and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were travelling on met with an accident in Kanepokhari Rural Municipalty along Khorsane-Kerabari road section of Morang district on Saturday evening.

The deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Sujan Koirala (22) of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-8 and Anish Bhattarai of Sundarharaicha-8 in the district.

The motorcycle (Ko 28 Pa 8090) met with an accident in Kanepokhari yesterday, injuring both rider and pillion rider, according to Birat Chok-based Police Post.

The injured duo were rushed to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences where Koirala breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, pillion rider Bhattarai has been undergoing treatment there.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
