GULMI: A man was killed after being hit by a truck at Lauresimal in the area of Bhuwachidi in Gulmi district last night.

The deceased has been identified as Raju Shrestha (41) of Amararwathok in Gulmi district and currently living at Dingnagar of Rupandehi -3, said District Police Office (DPO), Gulmi.

The truck (Lu 1 Kha 3785) en route from Bamitaksar to Butwal ran over Shrestha killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, Police have detained the truck driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation.

The body has been sent to Gulmi District Hospital in Tamghas for the postmortem.
