Nepalgunj, September 17:

Ten persons, including three policemen, were injured when a clash ensued between cadres of the Madhesi Youth Forum (MYF) and the police in course of a demonstration.

The cadres were seeking the release of MJF district chairman Hiralal Loniya. Police took six MYF cadres under control. The situation became tense as the agitators pelted stones at the Banke DAO, acting CDO Krishna Acharya said.

Banke chairman of the MJF Sarbadesh Ojha said the situation became tense after hooligans pelted stones.

The concert of participants of Nepali Tara, slated here for tomorrow, has been postponed following the incident.
