Boy rescued unharmed from Palpa river after 15 hrs
RAMPUR, PALPA: A 10-year-old boy stranded in the middle of the swollen Arun River was rescued after 15 hours this morning in Palpa district.
Rajin Sunari of Mityal Gothdanda in Nisdi Rural Municipality-4 was found stranded in the midst of the raging Arun River. He could not be rescued on Monday due to the intensity of the current. He was rescued unharmed at 6:00 am by a joint team of locals and the Rupsebhanjyang-based Police Post.
Rajin was swimming in the Nartodi River at around 3:00 pm yesterday when a sudden intensity of current swept him to the Arun River, according to police.
He was swept as far as 200 metres.
