A joint search and rescue team has recovered 11 more bodies from the Audit-3 tunnel of the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project in Rasuwa, where people went missing following the Bhotekoshi flash flood.
The Nepali Army said the bodies were found trapped in reinforcement mesh and buried in mud inside the tunnel and were brought out on Saturday.
The search operation was conducted by a joint team involving representatives of the hydropower project to locate people who went missing after the devastating flood on August 26.
The team is continuing the search inside the tunnel for other missing people, the Army said.
The latest recovery follows the retrieval of six bodies from the same tunnel on Friday. Those bodies had been found entangled in reinforcement mesh inside the tunnel and were removed using grinders, gas cutters and rotary rescue equipment.
