Dhulikhel, September 24:

Eleven Youth Force (YF) cadres were injured in a clash with transport workers and locals at Zero Kilo of Panchkhal-6 in Kavre today.

The clash ensued after the YF cadres manhandled bus staffer Durga Thakuri and tried to snatch his golden chain, locals said.

The YF cadres were trying to inspect the buses plying on the Araniko Highway, saying that they were ferrying goods from Khasa by evading taxes.

Police seized two TV sets, a car and six motorbikes used by the Youth Force cadres. YF district coordinator Mukti Bista said

they had assembled in Zero Kilo only after informing the police. “We were thrashed by locals and

YCL cadres,” he said.
