12 arrested for 'immoral activities' from Birtamod hotels

SURUNGA, JHAPA: Police on Monday arrested 12 persons including five Indian nationals for their alleged involvement in sex trade nationals from various hotels in Jhapa.

According to police, Bhadrapur Road-based 365 Cafe owner including five Indian nationals and two girls have been arrested. One of those arrested is a hotel owner.

A team of security personnel deployed from Anarmani-based Area Police Office, arrested them in compromising positions yesterday, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Keshav Kumar Thebe.

Moreover, police arrested a couple from Nisha Hotel located in the Naya Bus Park area of Birtamod and two couples from Mechi Koshi Top Hotel in compromising positions, the DSP Thebe said.
