DAMAULI: As many as twelve persons sustained injuries in a bus accident at Barchaur in Mayade Rural Municipality-1 of Tanahun district, on Tuesday.

A bus (Ga 1 Kha 8582) heading to Damauli from Pokhara was hit by another bus (Ga 1 Kha 7534) coming from the same direction along Damauli--Khairetar road stretch of the Prithvi Highway today.

According to the District Police Office, Tanahun, one with serious injuries has been referred to Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital for further treatment whereas others are undergoing treatment at the Ratnahari Hospital in Damauli.

Both the bus drivers have been rounded up for further investigation, police said.
