30 injured in Bhojpur bus accident

BHOJPUR: At least 30 people were injured when a bus met with an accident at Bhorlabot of Jarayotar in the district on Sunday.
According to DSP Rajkumar Lamsal of the District Police Office, Bhojpur, six of the passengers were critically injured in the incident. The injured have been identified as Ratna Gurung (40) and Shristi Gurung (16) from Dharan-1 of Sunsari district, Biju Rai (39) from Tehrathum, Him Maya Kafle (50) from Champe VDC-9, Alina Karki from Pyauli-1 and Sarita Sunuwar (25) from Bhulke-7 in Bhojpur, DSP Lamsal informed.
Other 21 injured have sustained injuries on their heads, arms and legs. They are being treated at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, police added.
Police said the bus (Na 4 Kha 4578) fell off some 100 metres down the road following a brake failure at 4 am this morning.
12 injured after bus slips off Bhojpur road
BHOJPUR: At least 12 people were injured in a bus accident at Bhorlabot of Jarayotar in the district on Sunday.
According to the District Police Office, Bhojpur, the incident took place when the bus (Na 4 Kha 4578) slipped off 100 metre down the road after the brake failure.
The bus was heading towards Dharan from Bhojpur.
Severely injured six are sent to Leguwa of Dhankuta for the treatment, informed police.
