KATHMANDU: As many as 12 persons were injured after a pick-up van they were travelling in met with an accident in Darechok of Chitwan district on Monday.

Police said that the incident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle (Ga 2 Cha 3815) and fell some 15 metres down the road at around 10:30 pm yesterday.

Among the injured, Sushmita Thapa (32) of Gorkha-3, Bhakta Bahadur Rana (73) of Gorkha and Hem Bahadur Thapa (39) of Chitwan are in critical condition, informed the Area Police Office, Muglin.

All the injured are receiving treatment at the Bharatpur Medical College.
