KATHMANDU: As many as 12 persons were injured after the jeep they were travelling in met with an accident in Sarumarani Rural Municipality-6 of Pyuthan district on Sunday night.

According to police, the incident occurred when the jeep (Lu 1 Cha 9492) met with an accident near Baghe Khola at 8:30 pm yesterday, injuring 12 passengers.

The injured were rushed to the Bijuwar-based District Hospital where they have been undergoing treatment, informed police.

Two of the injured are in critical condition, according to hospital sources.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
