122 cargo vehicles enter Nepal via Sunauli border point on Friday

NAWALPARASI: The Bhairahawa Customs Office today said that as many as 122 cargo vehicles have entered Nepal through Indo-Nepal border point in Sunauli of Rupandehi district.

According to the Office, out of total, 117 vehicles laden with various goods and three tankers of petrol, diesel and kerosene, passed through the customs point on Friday, till the evening.

Despite the border-centric protests carried out by Madhes-centric parties, cargo vehicles have started entering Nepal through different customs points for the past few days.

Bishnu Prasad Dhakal, the Rupandehi Chief District Officer said, “We had asked Sunil Srivastava, District Magistrate of Maharajganj district in the Indian state of Bihar situated near Nepal- India boarder, for smooth supply of goods through Sunauli customs point without any disruption.”

“Supply of goods through the point has increased today as compared to the past few days,” added Dhakal.
