KATHMANDU, APRIL 1

A total of 128,167 foreign tourist visited Nepal in March, according to the Nepal Tourism Board. This figure marks an increase of 28.9% compared to March of the previous year when the number stood at 99,426.

The influx of tourists during this period was primarily dominated by visitors from India, with 30,698 tourists arriving from the neighboring country. Following closely behind were tourists from China, constituting 12,093 arrivals.

Additionally, 10,773 tourists arrived from the United States, 7,241 from the United Kingdom, 5,741 from Sri Lanka, 5,255 from Germany, 4,345 from Thailand, 3,240 from France, and 3,131 from Myanmar, as per the report by the NTB.

In the first three months of 2024, Nepal saw a total of 304,693 foreign tourists visiting the country.
