A fire destroyed 13 houses and damaged property worth Rs 2.66 lakh at Bhagwanpur-1 in

Kapilvastu district today, police said. The houses belonging to Raphatul Musalman, Rahis Musalman, Awaj Musalman, Purne Ahir and Bange Kori, among others, were gutted, inspector at the Krishnanagar Area Police Post, Dipak Regmi, said.

The locals and police put out the fire with the help of a fire brigade from Krishnanagar VDC, he said.
