137 govt buildings damaged in war
Kathmandu, July 30:
The Maoist insurgency has so far resulted in the damage of some 137 government buildings, which amounts to a loss of Rs 90 million, said Surya Bhakta Sangachhe, the deputy director-general at the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction. The government is focusing on repairing those buildings since peace has not been resorted, he said at a programme organised by the Nepal Buddhijivi Samparka Abam Bichar Manch in the Capital today. The director-general of the Department of Roads, Durga Prasad KC, raised concern over the damage caused to roads.
