NUWAKOT: A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl living in the neighbourhood in Bidur Municipality-3 in Nuwakot district.

The boy allegedly raped the girl in her house a week ago, according to the complaint registered with police by the rape victim's family.

The victim's health check-up also provided some evidences of rape, said the complaint.

Police did not reveal the name of the accused for the security reasons.

A rape case has been filed against the accused in the District Court and launched investigations into the case, said Inspector Jitendra Kumar Basnet.
