KATHMANDU, JANUARY 22
As many as 14,000 adolescent girls in the district are set to receive vaccination against cervical cancer.
A total of 14,278 girls, including both school-going students from Grades 6 to 10 (14,078) and 200 non-school-going adolescents, will be administered the HPV vaccine.
Shankar Babu Adhikari, Chief of the District Health Office, stated that the HPV vaccination campaign is scheduled to run from February 4 to 12.
The campaign will be conducted in two phases: the first phase, from February 4 to 7, will cover Byas Municipality, Bhanu Municipality, Devghat, Bandipur, and Abukhaireni Rural Municipalities.
The second phase, from February 9 to 12, will be carried out in Shuklagandaki Municipality, Bhimad Municipality, Myagde, Rishing, and Ghiring Rural Municipalities.
