141 benefit from free eye camp in remote Palpa village

RAMPUR, PALPA: As many as 141 people benefitted from a free eye check-up camp set up at Sahalkot, a remote village in Nisdi Rural Municipality-1 of Palpa district on Saturday.

The one-day eye camp — organised by Janbikas Parichalan Kendra, a local NGO — was supported by Rampur Savings and Credit Cooperatives and technically assisted by  Kaligandaki Eye Care Centre (KECC).

Out of the 141 people who underwent free eye examination at the camp, 14 people were found to be suffering from cataract, according to Sundar Rana, technician at the KECC.

The eye patients were also provided with free medicines and glasses on the occasion.

Locals were very happy for getting the free eye check-up and medicines at their locality, said Prem Bakabal, one of the beneficiaries.
