15 injured as bus falls into Sunkoshi river

Sindhupalchowk, Dec 4:

Fifteen persons were injured today when a bus heading towards Kathmandu from Manthali skidded off the Araniko Highway at Chehere and fell into the Sunkoshi river, eyewitnesses said.

Four of the injured are in a critical condition, said the Sindhupalchowk district police office. Injured Binda Giri, Bhagawan Giri, Raj Kumar Giri, Shayam Bahadur Budathoki, Bal Kumari Budathoki and Dal Bahadur Chhetri are undergoing treatment in Dhulikhel Hospital, said hospital sources.

Four of the injured are undergoing treatment at the primary health post at Barahbise, four are in TU Teaching Hospital (Kathmandu) and one is in Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital, said inspector at the DPO, Rajaram Adhikari. Most of the injured are from Ramechhap and Dolakha.
