15 SEE report cards without grade
Jhapa, June 29
Utter negligence on part of the National Examination Board has affected the result of 15 students who sat in last year’s Secondary Education Examination from Emerald Academy in Jhapa’s Bhadrapur Municipality.
The grade marks in one of the optional subjects of the 15 SEE candidates is missing in the recently published results. The students have, however, achieved excellent grades in other subjects. These students had chosen Environment Science as optional subject and their grade in the subject was missing in their report cards.
The school knocked on the door of the Municipal Education Office to solve the problem.
The education office, however, suggested that they go to the District Education Coordination Unit. The coordination unit has advised students to visit the office of the National Examination Board with a report issued by the chair of the examination centre, attendance record, entrance card, report card and an application.
According to the coordination unit, NEB will examine the answer sheets in accordance with the details sent by the chair of the examination centre.
School Principal Sitaram Subedi said optional subjects were finalised in Grade IX and non-publication of the grade in one subject had affected the students’ result. “The negligence will have negative impact on the psychology of students,” Subedi said.
