KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 5

As many as 158,487 persons received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine throughout the country, informed Ministry of Health and Population on Thursday night.

According to Ministry statistics recorded till 4:00 pm yesterday, the vaccine was administered from 201 booths in 77 districts.

Among the receivers, 21,754 were from Province 1; 21,185 from Province 2; 55,504 from Bagmati Province; and 17,267 from Gandaki Province. Similarly, 23,798 received the vaccine in Lumbini Province; 8,072 in Karnali Province, and 10,907 in Sudurpaschim Province.

The first phase of the vaccination drive will conclude on Saturday.

The Ministry issued a notice to the vaccination booths to administer Covid-19 vaccines to health professionals and frontline workers who might have been missed out from the Information Management Unit (IMU) of the ministry.

Such health workers will have to reach the booths with their identification card (with photograph) and their registration certificate issued by Nepal Medical Council, Nepal Nursing Council, Nepal Health Professional Council, Nepal Ayurved Medical Council, or Nepal Pharmacy Council.
