A total of 16,570 houses have been completely destroyed due to the earthquake in the six local levels of Rukum Paschim.
The Chairman of the District Disaster Management Committee and Chief District Officer, Hari Prasad Panta, mentioned that this number might increase as data collection is still ongoing in the district.
During a Committee meeting, the highest number of houses damaged was reported in Aathbiskot Municipality in the district.
Specifically, 7,148 houses have experienced complete damage in Aathbiskot Municipality, followed by 3,146 houses in Sanibheri Rural Municipality. In Sanibheri, an additional 722 houses have been partially damaged by the tremor that occurred on Friday night.
In Chaurajahari Municipality, 1,987 houses have been completely destroyed, with 4,374 houses suffering partial damage. Similarly, in Musikot Municipality, 2,300 houses have been completely destroyed, and 3,500 houses have been partially damaged.
Additionally, in Triveni Rural Municipality, 1,935 houses have been completely damaged, with 1,258 houses experiencing partial damage.
In Banfikot Rural Municipality, 18 houses have been completely destroyed, and 107 houses have been partially damaged.
