18 children rescued from Nepal-India border in Kanchanpur
BHIMDUTTANAGAR: Nepal Police with the help of Indian Seema Suraksha Bal (Border Security Force) rescued 18 children, including 12 boys and six girls, from Gaddachauki transit point of Nepal-India border in Kanchanpur district on Thursday.
Police detained Ram Bahadur Budha (53) and Ratan BK (48), both residents of Dhakari Rural Municipality in the district while they were taking these children towards India, informed Chief of the Area Police Office in Gaddachauki, Sub Inspector Dikar Dev Panta.
According to police, the rescued children belong to Dhakari Rural Municipality-7 in Achham district.
Meanwhile, the children would be handed over to Maiti Nepal, Kanchanpur for their custody, said Sub-Inspector Panta.
