19 absconding convicts arrested in Mahottari districts
GAUSHALA: Police in Mahottari district have reportedly arrested 19 persons convicted by the District Court long ago.
Acting on the order issued by the court, the outlaws convicted of brawl, theft and other frauds were arrested from different places in the district in view of maintaining security for the upcoming local polls, according to the Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Lamsal at the Mahottari District Police Office.
Among the arrested, 18 alleged convicts have been fined while another one has been sent to prison to serve sentence, the DPO informed.
The DPO has launched campaign to nab the absconding convicts to check the untoward activities and ensure the security during the local polls.
