HETAUDA: Police have detained two suspects for questioning about the murder of a man in eastern Bakaiya Rural Municipality of Makawanpur district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Surya Bahadur Syangtan (56) of Matokori in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-7 in the district.

Police have revealed that Syangtan was killed by a sharp weapon on Tuesday morning.

Police have yet to make the detainees public.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been brought to Hetauda for the postmortem, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dilip Raj Jha at District Police Office, Makawanpur.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said DSP Jha.
