2 dead, 4 injured in Bara truck accident
BARA: Two persons died and four others sustained injuries when a truck ferrying buffaloes met with an accident in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-1, along the East-west Highway, in Bara district on Saturday night.
Police have identified an Indian national Ansari (45) of Motihari Dhaka in India, as one of the deceased, died on the spot, informed police
However, the identity of another deceased is yet to be ascertained. It has been learned that she was suffering from mental illness, informed police.
The incident occurred when the truck (Na 3 Kha 9024) en route to Pathlaiya from Nijgadh lost control after hitting an unidentified women and overturned near Pathlaiya last night, according to the Regional Traffic Police Office, Pathlaiya.
Similarly, all four injured were rushed to the Simara-based Alpine Hospital where they are undergoing treatment, said police.
As many as six buffaloes have been killed in the incident, police added.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
