CHITWAN: Two persons died after being swept away by the monsoon rain triggered flood in Chitwan district on Sunday morning.

According to SP Deepak Thapa, Chief at the Chitwan District Police Office, one of the deceased have been identified as Saman Bahadur Praja(22) of Icchakamana Rural Municipality-3 in the district.

Praja went missing after being swept away by the flood on Saturday evening. Polcie recovered his body this morning, added Thapa.

Similarly, police recovered a body of a woman who was swept away by the Pampha River in Rapti Municipality-8 today.

The woman appears to be in her 40s. Her identities are yet to be ascertained, said police.
